Inverted normals, bad edges, and overlapping or intersecting triangles.
Are problem files rejected?
No. You decide: show a warning, block the price or send the part to a manual quote.
Which files are checked?
Every DXF and STEP file uploaded through your widget.
What DXF problems should I ask customers to fix before cutting?
Common ones are open or overlapping contours, duplicate lines, wrong units and text not converted to geometry. Many shops publish a short file guide so buyers send clean DXFs.
Is mesh repair relevant for laser files?
Mesh repair applies to STL files. For laser cutting, customers upload DXF or STEP files, which are checked and measured on upload instead.
