Questions shops ask before switching
Which mesh errors are repaired?
Inverted normals, bad edges, and overlapping or intersecting triangles.
Are problem files rejected?
No. You decide: show a warning, block the price or send the part to a manual quote.
Which files are checked?
Every STEP and STL file uploaded through your widget.
Why are STEP files better than STL for turned parts?
A STEP file keeps exact cylinders and diameters, while an STL approximates them with triangles. SeekMake repairs common mesh errors in STL files, but STEP gives a cleaner basis for tight-tolerance turning.
Should I still check threads on the customer's drawing?
Yes. Thread specs, tolerances and surface finish are often defined only on the drawing, so a quick review still makes sense for critical parts.
Which files can customers upload?
STEP and STL files. The part is checked and measured automatically when it is uploaded.
How much does SeekMake cost?
