That misses the cut path: a flange with a ring of bolt holes needs many more pierces and metres of cut than a blank of the same size. Reading the uploaded file and applying your per-metre and per-pierce rates gives a price that follows the real machine time, not only the kilos of plate.

Is the price an estimate or a real quote?
It is a real quote based on your rates. The customer can add it to the cart and order it.
What does the calculator take into account?
The inputs you control: material, size or volume, machine time, setup, finishes and quantity breaks.
Can I hide the price for some parts?
Yes. You can send parts outside your rules to a manual quote request instead of showing a price.
Should plasma parts be priced by weight?
Weight covers the plate, but not the cutting. Most shops add cut length and pierces on top, because those set the torch time.
How do I keep small plasma orders worth cutting?
Setup and minimum charges are part of your rules, so a single small bracket still covers loading the plate and running the job.
Which files can customers upload?
DXF and STEP files. The part is checked and measured automatically when it is uploaded.
