Routing files bring their own problems: open contours in a DXF, duplicate lines on top of each other, a drawing in inches when you work in millimetres, or inside corners smaller than the cutter radius. Any of these can give a wrong toolpath length or a part that cannot be cut as drawn. Checking and measuring the file on upload catches many of them before the quote goes out.

Questions shops ask before switching
Which mesh errors are repaired?
Inverted normals, bad edges, and overlapping or intersecting triangles.
Are problem files rejected?
No. You decide: show a warning, block the price or send the part to a manual quote.
Which files are checked?
Every DXF and STEP file uploaded through your widget.
Why do inside corners matter on routed parts?
A round cutter leaves a radius in every inside corner equal to its own radius. If a slot needs a sharp corner for a joint, the drawing usually needs a dogbone or a different tool.
Should customers send STEP or DXF for pocketed parts?
A STEP model holds pocket and step depths in the geometry. A DXF only shows the flat outline, so depths and thickness have to be given separately.

DXF and STEP files. The part is checked and measured automatically when it is uploaded.
