How to quote injection mold cost and part price
An injection molding quote has two parts: the mold (size, cavities, complexity) and the part price (resin, cycle time, run size). SeekMake lets you set rules for both and quote from the STEP file.
Mold cost is driven by part size, cavity count, tool material and features such as side actions or undercuts. Part price depends on resin, shot weight, cycle time and run length. What is the biggest cost driver?
Usually material and machine time. Setup matters most on small batches.
How do I set quantity breaks?
Spread setup over the batch and lower the unit price at the quantities your customers order most.
Can I automate this?

How does cavity count change the quote?
More cavities raise the mold cost but lower the cycle cost per part, so higher volumes usually justify them. Setting rules for both lets you quote that trade-off consistently.
